This hopper has been developed from the succesfull Cube Hopper range.

A number of features have been added for fraud protection, which give a lot of benefits when people are trying to manipulate your machines.

All functions are similar as the normal Cube Hopper, except the following fraud protection has been added :

 

Opto-Sensor fraude detection

  • The opto-sensor led is modulated with a random frequency between 250Hz and 1KHz.
  • If the opto-receiver is shorted to ground, the hopper will stop and send an error pulse.
  • If the opto-received is shorted to a high voltage or the opto is blocked, the hopper will stop and send an error pulse.
  • If the opto-sensor is blocked (coin in opto-port), starting the hopper will eject the coin and the coin exit output becomes high again.

 

Coin Exit fraude detection

  • If the coin exit is shorted to a high level, and a coin is ejected during a payout, the hopper will stop directly after detecting that the coin exit level does not go low if the coin passes to opto. An error pulse will be send as soon as the coin exit fraud disappears. In most cases the coin will not be paid, but remain in the coin exit port of the hopper. By restarting the hopper, the coin will eject and the coin exit output becomes high again.
  • If the coin exit is shorted to a low level, the machine will go in alarm automatically.

 

Error pulse transmission

  • In a fraud situation, the coin exit will transmit an active low pulse of 10 sec.
  • If the coin exit is shorted to a high level, the hopper will try to pull the coin exit low each 100ms. As soon as the coin exit goes low also, the 10 sec error pulse will be transmitted.
  • If the hopper is restarted during the 10 sec error pulse, the error pulse is aborted, allowing coins to be paid again.

  • “Sun & Planet” gearbox, which allows for optimal operation with minimal consumption (from 350 mA to 850 mA with a peak of 2 A at 24 Vdc)
  • “Sun & Planet” gearbox increasing the coin capacity to contain and count more than 1,200 coins with a 24 mm diameter with two extensions (max 2 extensions)
  • Auto-reverse system to protect against accidental jams
  • Second payout sensor available as option
  • Two connection options: 10-pole in-line connector and 5x2 transition connector. A chain of peripherals (daisy connection) can be obtained using a ribbon cable
